Before our first session I will send you a client agreement form so you can provide informed consent on how I use your data.

The practical details

  • Therapy sessions will be held whenever booked for 50 minutes.
  • My fee is £50 per session and payment is to be made electronically 24 hours before your session.
  • An accredited member of the NCPS, I abide by their code of ethics and practice, attend regular supervision, and take part in continuing professional development training.
  • We will review and evaluate our work together from time to time, or at the request of the client.
  • If either party is unable to attend an agreed therapy session, the therapist or client will contact the other as soon as possible. The full session fee is payable unless 24 hours’ notice is given.
  • Therapy sessions records shall be kept for at least 7 years following the last session as stipulated by my insurance company.

This information is necessary due to legitimate reason (counselling/therapy), in signing this document you give explicit consent, as well as this acting as a contract between the therapist and the client.

Confidentiality

Content of sessions and your data is entirely confidential except in the following circumstances:

  • Where you give consent for information to be shared.
  • Where you disclose information in relation to acts of terrorism and or drug money laundering.
  • Where you are at risk of committing suicide or in danger of harming yourself or another. In this case I will contact your GP, ideally with your consent.
  • During meetings with my supervisor. All sessions are with a qualified supervisor and confidential with your case only discussed anonymously.

If confidentiality needs to be broken, I will always try to seek your permission.
